Bank reconciliation, without a bank connection

From three days of matching to an afternoon

Upload a bank statement in CSV or MT940 format, and Baytfolio matches it against your recorded transactions. No Open Banking connection, no bank credentials shared with anyone.

How matching works

Confidence-tiered, never a black box

Two formats in: CSV or MT940

Flexible CSV header detection (date/amount, or separate debit and credit columns), plus native SWIFT MT940 statement parsing.

Exact matches, applied automatically

An exact amount plus cheque-number match is applied without any manual step.

Everything else, flagged for review

Amount-only matches are surfaced for a human to confirm, and never auto-applied on a guess.

Cleared cheques, ready to match

A cheque marked cleared is exactly the kind of line the matcher looks for once you upload your statement.

What this actually is

There's no live bank feed here, by design. You control exactly what enters the system and when, with no Open Banking credentials or third-party account access involved.

Common questions

Does Baytfolio connect directly to my bank?

No. You export a CSV or MT940 statement from your bank and upload it. There's no Open Banking connection or stored bank credentials.

What statement formats are supported?

CSV, with flexible column detection, and SWIFT MT940.

Does matching happen automatically?

High-confidence matches, meaning an exact amount and cheque number, are applied automatically. Lower-confidence matches are flagged for manual review rather than auto-applied.

Does cheque status feed into reconciliation?

Yes. A cheque marked cleared is exactly the kind of line the matcher looks to reconcile against your uploaded statement.
